The fruits of fours years of writing and research, and twenty plus years of working as a consultant of one form or another. I had hypothesis I wanted to test out, and this book is the result. Drawing on interviews, literature, my own experiences, psychology and a sprinkle of philosophy, I explore how it is leaders and those that sell them solutions to complex organisational and business challenges are so wedded to the myth of fixability. Underpinning this co-dependant relationship I suggest are unconscious patterns anxiety and shame driven behaviour. Heavy, eh? Well there is a unicorn farting rainbows in it and Wile E. Coyote finds his way in, so it has its lighter moments.
